Paradise Road Farm Stay is located just outside Sheffield in Northern Tasmania. Our Farm stay is on the main road to Cradle Mountain making it a convenient base to visit Cradle Mountain and surrounds.
The farm stay accommodation includes two architecturally designed studio cabins to suit couples or two travelling companions. The cabins feature stunning views of Mt Roland.
If you are booking a minimum two night stay at Paradise Road Farm you will have one full day to spend in the area. Most people plan to visit the iconic Cradle Mountain World Heritage area during their stay. To enjoy what Cradle Mountain National Park has to offer (even if you are not an avid hiker) you should allow the whole day.
A three or four night itinerary allows time to relax and explore the farm, Cradle Mountain and what Tasmania's North West Coast region has to offer. A longer stay also provides flexibility around your trip to Cradle Mountain and the possibility of inclement weather (particularly if you are planning a summit attempt).
Recommended activities for additional days in the Sheffield area include a visit to Mole Creek (where you can view glow worm caves and meet Tasmanian Devils at Trowunna Wildlife Park), an additional day enjoying adventure activities at Cradle Mountain such as canyoning and kayaking or mountain bike riding on the Wild Mersey Trails. If you love food and wine allow extra time in your stay for food and wine experiences including winter truffle foraging adventures and visits to local distilleries, breweries, wineries and cider makers (check out the Tasting Trail Tasmania for more information).
Its also possible to enjoy a day exploring Tasmania's beautiful North West Coast and beautiful scenic coastal towns including Penguin, Boat Harbour and Stanley finishing off with a visit to the Lilico penguin colony.
