Eating on the farm

Your stay on the farm includes a seasonal and locally sourced breakfast.

You stay at Paradise Road includes complimentary breakfast provisions featuring seasonal and locally sourced ingredients including freshly baked sour dough bread, homemade granola with Mt Roland Organic Hazelnuts, Tasmanian dairy products and homemade jam and fruit preserves. (You will have the opportunity to select your preferred menu items after booking your stay with us).

From May until September (or until our produce runs out) we offer out ‘Off Season’ in-room dining menu including simple and nourishing soup and our famous (although admittedly non authentic) Paradise Road Farm nachos, all made with love from the garden and local farm produce (ethical meat, vegan and vegetarian options available).  We also offer a selection of  Ghost Rock Wines and Dasher & Fisher Gin.

Please note the cabins have no cooking facilities (small microwave only) but they are fully equipped with plates, cutlery and glassware, refrigerator, toaster and tea and coffee making facilities.  We have a 'Weber Q' BBQ set up undercover in our rustic shearing shed with view of the dam so you can keep an eye out for some platypus action while you cook dinner.

We are also just a short 5 minute drive from local eateries including:

  • Blacksmith Cafe & Grill (breakfast and lunch). Blacksmith's prides itself on its open and inclusive environment and commitment to the local community.
  • Ts Chinese Restaurant- Northern Chinese food with free range Berkshire pork, beef and lamb sourced directly from their family farm. (Bookings are recommended)
  • Sheffield Hotel —traditional pub staples (steaks, parmas, fish and chips etc) and pizza.
  • Mountain Mumma — licensed cafe with pizza available on selected nights
